Influencing the Future Essay

Although it doesn't seem like it, the choices we make today even if their small things have the potential to change events or set them in motion. We don't usually think about this but there are lot novels which talk about these questions and two of these are called "On Self-Reliance" and "A Sound of Thunder." These stories are able to make people think  a bigger picture a out what theses stories are able to illustrate to the reader. They able to make the reader think about the choices, they have made in their life and how it could've gone differently if they picked a different path. From these stories, I was able to realise one of the choices I have made.
One of the examples in my life that I realized made a outcome was in my Physics class. We get homework that is usually due in one week from it is given to us. The reason I made this one of the example is that i usually say I'll start it on Monday but i would do it on Thursday night when it is due. This makes it for where I try to solve them as fast as I can and usually leading to mistakes. I'm positive that I would have a better grade if I start it as soon as i get home but I have other homework assignments and I get home from school tired, while my mom is telling me to help her with chores around the house.
A essay written by Emmerson called "On Self-Reliance" talks about his ideas and why people act in some ways. He is able to talk about how people act the way they act and how other people see them and how they see themselves. Most importantly though were the choices that make a difference to the person either good or bad.

* I'll think of more for this essay soon.

A Sound of Thunder

I like this story mostly because I always thought what would happen if someone can go back in time and change something in the past.

Emmerson Presentation Day 3

Today is the last day of presentation and we had three groups go up and talk about their quotes in Emmerson's essay, while one group made a poster/picture for the presentation.

Emmerson presentation Day 2

On the second day of presentation we had a video presentation about Emmerson's essay. It was like a motivational video which talks about being yourself. We also had some presentations of people talking about quotes that can be found in the essay.

Emmerson Presentation Day 1

The first day of presentations to me went well. I volunteered as the first on to go up to present. On this day we talked about Emmerson's beliefs which were about to not think what other people think.

Emerson for the young buck

From Emerson's view, I have learned his thoughts on peoples behavior when by themselves and with society on how they act around people. I also learned from Emmerson about one of his beliefs, which is that he believes that people shouldn't care what other people think about them. He states it in his article which was, "These roses under my window make no reference to former roses or to be better ones; they are for what they are..." The whole point of this article was so Emerson can give people who are afraid of how people react to their opinion the reasoning on why they shouldn't keep their ideas to themselves.

Dark Souls 3: Dancer

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDTuVzIT0Y4&t=48s

For this boss, I felt like I still  could've done better with the dodges but the main reason why I'm writing is because this fight does feel like a dance since the boss moves elegantly. Another thing that I liked about the boss is that the sword, which is on fire, when she hit certain objects the fire would spread and soon the arena where you fight her is set on fire and it looks really nice and it sets a cool fight.

Dark Souls 3: Aldrich

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hy4fN_iNbJ4

This boss was probably the one that kept surprising me the most out of all the bosses. The reasons for that is because the move where he sent arrows into the sky was where I tried to hide behind pillars but then the later started coming from above instead of an angle which almost got me killed. This was also the first boss I beat on my first try.

My American Voice

With my type of personality, I don't really speak up unless it's something I believe is wrong to do. I feel that when someone does stand up for someone or something then that's when other people start joining the speaker and it can either be good or bad depending on the speakers implication of when the speaker stood up. The reason I say that what a speaker can go good or bad is because some people will get power because they promise people benefits and not really tell them their right plan, like Hitler during WW2. Mostly though people use their words for good in order to inspire people from all over their country, and sometimes the whole world.

Dark Souls 3: Abyss Watchers

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwgwIOJk-3Y

This was the second boss and it was a pretty fun fight but I messed up on the dodges. Later on though since I already beat the game, I definitely got better at timing it right with the dodges.

Team Vocab

The citizens of America feel aggravated about this years presidential election and they see their hope dissolving. Americans feel that their earnestly work will be for nothing. It makes me sad that no one has attempted to illuminate us when it comes to politics. People's breaking point is getting to the size of a capillary. Trump has a proboscis. Donald Trump accuses Hilary of not being a good candidate. Donald Trump should be suspended from being a candidate. The debate has hypnotized us into thinking that Donald and Hilary could be presidents. I think this debate is venomous. The candidates aren't very stolid.

Just a random post

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1e92NtAxzw

The game is Dark Souls 3 and Dr.Preston said we should put more blogs than the assignments that he gives us, so I am going to put a video of me fighting the first boss of the game. I'll probably put the other bosses on here later but for now this should do.

Respect my authority

Authoritative people can help you be inspired and try harder if they help you or something meaningful. To me, someone who always said something that made sense to me is Bruce Lee. One of my favorite quotes is, "Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." To me this quote is to tell people that they can adjust to changes in life that can be positive or negative. While some people can be bad authoritative people who try to control certain behaviors.

Inciting Incident

I believe that the most exciting part of the story was when the pedestrian, Leonard Mead, went past the cop car and there was no one in the front seat to show that this story is futuristic.

The Pedestrian : First thoughts

I feel like the story is going to be similar to Young Goodman Brown in that the character will see people and what they are actually like

My Aeris

I earned a B- on my essay and my first reaction was that I did pretty good . I feel that I would've gotten a better grade if I put more detail into themes and tones. I do agree with my grade because I didn't really try much on the themes and tones. I feel like I have a B for this class because I don't turn in anything or complete some blogs.

Conscience of a Hacker Response

When I read the story I realized that it has the same mindset for me, which is when teachers keep repeating lessons that I already know but that's pretty much where the similarities end. I use computers but I don't know much about it only how to change minor things.

Response to reading

My response to the Richard Cory story is that the story shows that people who have everything aren't always happy with it or themselves.

Anceint Stories

The language in the story used to words a lot more. For example, when the cheiftan's wife fell down it kept repeating the word down to show that it was a big fall. It's important that a story is told word for word because people back then might have forgot important parts in the story or might have changed the story a bit from not remembering certain parts.

The earth on turtle's back

Im positive that this story is a native american story on how earth came to be.
