Faith- Complete trust or confidence in someone or something.
The owner had lots of faith in his dog to bring back what he wanted.
Threshold- The magnitude or intensity that must be exceeded for a certain reaction, phenomenon, result or condition to occur or be manifested.
The threshold during the race was so much that everyone became quiet when they waited to see who won the close race.
Tarry- Stay longer than intended
Although they agreed to leave earlier they tarried.
Resolve- To find a solution to a problem
They wanted to resolve the problem of all the invasive species in the state.
Discern- To recognize something
She discerned the boy in blue as his son.
Martyr- A person who is killed because of their religious or other beliefs.
The martyr decided that he had to end his life because of his beliefs.
Mirth- amusement, especially expressed in laughter
The kids had lots of mirth when they have recess after lunch.
Catechism- A summary of the principles of Christian religion in the form of questions and answers.
The priest repeated the Catechism to the people in church.
Pious- Devoutly religious
The people in church right now are very pious.
Frenzy- A state or period of uncontrolled excitement or wild behavior.
The children were in a frenzy when they were released for a break from the classroom.
