12 Questions

1. Ray Bradbury started the book by saying this particular line because maybe Montag may have been told that the books being burned held false information and they had to be burned in order to stop spreading false information but maybe it had truth in them that the government didn't want the public to see.
2. The books are compared to birds because the flapping of the pages in the wind might sound like a bird taking flight or the books information flies away.
3. Montag and Clarisse's life are different from seeing Clarrisse's family talking to each other and being happy, meanwhile Montag's wife almost kills herself because she is lonely and unhappy.
4. Technology doesn't make Montag and Mildred happy because it separates them from talking to each other causing Mildred to feel unhappy while Montag says he's happy but in reality he isn't really happy.
5. The author introduces Montag to us during this time because he wants us to see the change he will go through when he realizes that he doesn't really know what to believe in and starts questioning how he sees the world.
6. The author introduces us to Clarrise first instead of Mildred because she might be setup to more important than Mildred who might not have a big impact on Montag.
7. The houses are all fireproof in this society because there are no books in this part of society or anything seen as bad.
8. Mildred required emergency services in order to get rid of the sleeping pills in her stomach by having a tube get rid of the pills in her stomach.
9. The Hounds purpose is to keep the firefighters entertained by releasing animals for the hound to kill them.
10. Society considers Clarrisse antisocial because she actually does want to talk to people in her school but everyone just keeps to themselves which is seen as normal
11. She lights the match because the line she says ";we shall this day light such a candle," and ignites the house in order to also burn with the books.
12. Montag and Mildred's relationship isn't actually a relationship since they don't even remember when they first met each other.
